Carpinus betulus No.13 in new pot

A few weeks ago this hornbeam got its first ceramic pot. It is much better to move around now. It is a tree collected in 2012 and still in the early phases of development.

Ulmus

Elm was repotted into its first ceramic pot in March. Now pushing new growth. Collected from the wild in 2013, still a long way to go.

Carpinus betulus "Old Sam"

This hornbeam was repotted recently into a more shallow pot, which looks like it suits him well. The big root which was out of the level of the rest of the nebari was removed and will be carved in a couple of weeks. Branches will be cut back, should have been done already, but during March/April repotting fury, there was time only for minor adjustment. The structure will be developed since it is rather a young tree collected only in 2012. In needs decade to shine.
