Crataegus monogyna 1.

Tento hloh je prvý, ktorý som kopal tento rok. Myslel som si že je to s hlohmi jednoduché, pretože na webe Harryho Haringtona som čítal pár článkov, kde sa opisovalo prijatie hlohov s takmer žiadnymi koreňmi. Na moje prekvapenie tento môj hloh sa správal divne. Na jar vyrašili listy, ale ostali malé a strom prestal úplne rásť. Postupne, v priebehu pár mesiacov listy sčerneli a strom vyzeral, že to má za sebou. Už som bol pripravený napísať ďalší RIP blog. Na moje prekvapenie ale pred týždňom, keď už na ňom nebol ani jeden zelený lístok, tak vyrašili nové puky na starom dreve. Zdá sa, že to chalan ešte nechce vzdať. Držím mu palce. Uvidíme do jesene a na jar sa budeme modliť.

PS. skúšal som ho zachrániť tým, že som ho neprestal polievať a hnojiť. A pár krát som mu do vody pridal aj SuperThrive. (kúpil som ho pred tým, ako som čítal článok Willa Heatha. Či tie puky vyhnal kvôli superthrivu to netuším. Ale superthrive má určite prsty v lesných jahodách, ktoré v boxe v priebehu 3 mesiacov vyrástli, zakvitli a zarodili. :)

This is the first hawthorn I dig out this year. I thought its easy with them since I read few articles on web of Harry Harrington where caught up hawthorns will very little roots. Surprisingly for me hawthorns behave quite strangely. In late spring leaves sprouted and than it stop its growth. During next months all leaves turned black and dry out. Tree looked like it is gone. I was ready to write another RIP blog . Than about week ago tree surprised me again. New buds sprouted on old wood and it seems that my pal do not want to give it up. I cross my fingers. I will see what next weeks till end of autumn will bring and than in spring I will pray.

PS. I tried to save him with regular watering and feeding. And few times I add into water SuperThrive (I bought it before I read article of Will Heath about bonsai myths. If Superthrive helped these new buds to sprout I do not know. But I'm sure Superthrive is responsible for new strawberries growing in box during last 3 months from nothing, they grown, flower and fruit- very fast. :)
